Eric C. Wilson was born in Rockford, Ill. on August 13, 1916. He had completed four year of high school prior to enlisting in the Army. Wilson joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. where he was assigned to Company C of the 85th Infantry Regiment. He also served at Camp Swift, Tex. before being sent to Italy. During combat operations in Italy, WIlson received two Bronze Star Medals for his actions at Mount Gorgolesco on February 22, 1945 and at Mount San Michele on April 19, 1945....
